Earlier this year I decided I needed to get more exercise and worked through C25K. after a very slow first 5k run – 42 minutes plus, I’m now building up speed, very slowly. Finally cracked 38 minutes this morning, which means I’m running about the same speed as I did 10 years ago.
My other half started the C25K 2 weeks ago, and came back from the gym to announce he can now run the 5k without pausing to walk. I was duly impressed, and asked how long he’s taken…… about 6 minutes faster than my best time. So, no runs together; if we set off together, i’ll be about half a kilometre behind when he’s finishing.
Hey ho. I’ll keep quiet about m aim to do 100x5k this year, or he’ll be finished that just as I’m getting to the point where I think I might actually achieve it!
